The Lazer Blade KinetiCore road bike helmet is your perfect companion for long days in the saddle on quiet, dusty roads. If you are looking for a safe, lightweight, well-ventilated helmet with a sleek look, it is a great choice. Weighing 250 grams in size M and with an easily adjustable fit, it is comfortable from start to finish.
- KinetiCore is Lazer’s proprietary impact protection system. The helmet contains small blocks of EPS foam that compress in a controlled manner upon impact. As a result, the helmet not only absorbs direct impacts but also the rotational forces that often act on your head during a fall. The benefit for you is that this protection is integrated into the helmet itself, so less material is needed and the helmet remains lightweight.
- The Advanced TurnSys fit system allows you to adjust the fit with a single turn of the dial, even while cycling and wearing gloves. You can also adjust the height of the system to ensure the helmet sits exactly in the right place on your head.
- The strap dividers under your ears slide horizontally into place. This ensures they always stay in the same position, keeping the helmet stable and comfortable.
The Lazer Blade KinetiCore helmet is designed for road cycling, gravel riding and general sporty cycling.
It is available in three sizes: S (52–55 cm), M (56–58 cm) and L (59–62 cm). To find out which size is best for you, measure your head circumference with a tape measure, placing it about a finger’s width above your eyebrows and ears, around the widest part of your head. If you fall between two sizes, you can usually adjust the dial in either direction, but we recommend choosing the smaller of the two for the most secure fit.

You don’t need to assemble this helmet; simply put it on and adjust the fit, turning the TurnSys dial at the back until the helmet sits lightly and securely, without feeling too tight. Next, slide the strap dividers under your ears into the correct position and adjust the chin strap so that there’s a gap of about two fingers between the strap and your chin.

Which size do I need for the Lazer Blade KinetiCore helmet?
The Lazer Blade KinetiCore is available in sizes S (52–55 cm), M (56–58 cm) and L (59–62 cm). Measure your head circumference with a tape measure, about a finger’s width above your eyebrows and ears, at the widest point of your head. Compare that measurement with the size chart. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one; you can then use the TurnSys dial to make it a little looser for the most secure fit. If you are still unsure, try the helmet on in one of our Superstores; our expert staff will be happy to provide assistance.
What is KinetiCore? Is it the same as MIPS?
KinetiCore is Lazer’s own impact protection system and is built into the Blade KinetiCore helmet. Cubes of EPS foam inside the helmet compress in a controlled manner during a fall, thereby absorbing both direct and rotational impacts. While the goal is the same as with MIPS (protection against rotational impact), the solution lies in the foam itself rather than in a separate layer. You therefore do not need a separate MIPS layer here, which makes the KinetiCore system lighter and ensures better ventilation.
Do I need to replace my helmet after a fall?
Yes, you should always replace your helmet after a fall, even if there is no visible damage. The EPS foam in the Lazer Blade KinetiCore helmet absorbs an impact only once and then loses its protective properties, even if there are no visible cracks or dents. If you have a crash while wearing one of our helmets, take a look at our helmet replacement scheme.
Is the Lazer Blade KinetiCore helmet suitable for use on my e-bike or speed pedelec?
Can I fit a LED light to the Lazer Blade KinetiCore helmet?
Yes, the Blade KinetiCore has a built-in Direct Mount for the Universal Lazer LED on the back. You can simply click the light onto it for enhanced visibility in the dark or in bad weather. The light isn’t included as standard with the helmet but can be ordered along with it.
